Short of words

Dear God,
I thought of what to say today. Dad I did.
I was sure that my heart would find the right words…….but it didn’t.
And today, standing on gold, I lost my voice.
The voice that would have said the words…
The words that would tell the story
The story that would express the parts…
The parts that would show my gratitude
The gratitude that built my life.
But nothing is lost………….……. No Lord…
Thank You.
This voice needs no words…….they resound in the heart.
Thank You.
These words need no stories……….. they are their tales.
Thank You
The tales need no audience……they are simply gratitude
Thank You
This gratitude is my life.
Thank You.
Here I am Lord with my gold, loving you, knowing you, and needing more.
Thank You, I need more of you.
Thank You, I AM You.
Thank You because one day, someone will read this letter and have a cause to be grateful too.
We won’t count the reasons why we are grateful, for we are.
We won’t count the number of years we have lived or will live, for we live.
It won’t matter why we are, but we are……… grateful.
So today, as another year rolls in for me in gold…….I AM………Grateful
Thank You.
This is your daughter, standing on gold and I am checking in.
